How are international shipping fees calculated?
International fees are based on package weight, dimensions, destination country, and service speed (express vs. standard). We also factor in fuel surcharges and carrier rates. You'll see a transparent breakdown before checkout.
- π¦ Weight & size: Heavier/larger packages cost more
- π Destination: Remote areas may have additional fees
- β‘ Service level: Express delivery costs more than standard

What is a handling fee and is it refundable?
Handling fees cover packaging, labeling, documentation, and warehouse processing. This is a standard, non-refundable service charge applied to all shipments to ensure your package is prepared securely and compliantly.
- β Covers professional packing & quality checks
- β Includes customs documentation preparation
- β Supports our 24/7 warehouse operations
Note: We do not charge "refundable deposits" for handling. All fees are clearly listed at checkout.
Are there restrictions on what I can ship?
Yes. For safety and legal compliance, we cannot ship hazardous materials, perishables without special handling, illegal items, or restricted goods (e.g., weapons, certain chemicals). Always check our Prohibited Items list before booking.
- π« No explosives, flammables, or toxic substances
- π« No live animals without certified transport
- π« No counterfeit goods or restricted electronics
Is shipping insurance required?
Insurance is optional but highly recommended, especially for valuable items. Basic liability coverage is included with all shipments, but it has limits. Optional insurance covers the full declared value against loss or damage.
- β Basic coverage: Included (limited value)
- β Full-value insurance: Optional, calculated at checkout
- β Claims process: Simple online form + photo documentation
We never force insurance purchasesβyou choose the protection level that fits your needs.
Why do I need to pay customs clearance fees?
Customs fees are charged by the destination country's government, not by us. They cover import duties, taxes, and administrative processing required by law. We collect and remit these fees on your behalf to avoid delivery delays.
- ποΈ Duties: Based on item type, value, and trade agreements
- π Processing: Covers customs brokerage & documentation
- β±οΈ Faster clearance: Pre-paid fees speed up release
Tip: Use our Duty & Tax Estimator before shipping to avoid surprises.
Are taxes and VAT mandatory?
Yes. Taxes (like VAT, GST, or sales tax) are legally required by most countries on imported goods. The rate depends on the destination, item category, and declared value. We calculate and collect these transparently at checkout.
- π VAT/GST: Applied in EU, UK, Australia, and many other regions
- π° Rate varies: Typically 5-25% based on country & product type
- π§Ύ Receipt provided: Full tax breakdown in your invoice
Business customers with valid tax IDs may qualify for exemptionsβcontact our team for details.
